Abstract
Although Kaposiform hemangioendothelioma (KHE) is a rare benign tumor, it is well known for its aggressiveness, showing mortality rates as high as 24% when progressed to Kasabach- Meritt syndrome. There are various therapies for KHE, such as oral prednisolone, intravenous methylprednisolone, interferon-¥á, surgical resection, chemotherapy and radiotherapy. We report a case of Kasabach-Meritt syndrome, which showed no response to oral prednisolone, intravenous methylprednisolone nor interferon-¥á, but a successful response to chemotherapy.
